How can NGO collaborate with Omega and Fresh Work for a digital volunteering long-term program? Is there a way to get the buy in? Diya
Dr Rathna- are you refering to rural volunteers, or urban volunteers going to villages?
This was answered in the session. They do.
Ishita- was this answered in the session adequately? Like Shyam said, most companies include volunteering as ONE of the various employee engagement activities (others being team building activities, retreats, parties, etc.).
Ashna- it’s a journey. Offering one-time opportunities can be followed by “reflection” exercises, I’ve found in my experience that reflection makes at least a few people want to go deeper and do more. The conversion will always be low- 2-5%, but you can use the one-times as a way to find these people. And of course do the one-times in a way that the company covers all your costs, so that the 2-5% good ones you eventually get are sourced at no cost.
Praveen- I believe Shyam answered this question in the session. Let us know if you still have any more questions left.
Ravi- give a couple of examples of what kind of ‘larger commitment, skill based’ volunteering you are refering to, besides teaching.
