Hello,
I am Manjiri Gokhale Joshi, one of the founders of Maya CARE Foundation, established in 2009. Together with my husband, Abhay Joshi, we envisioned a platform to offer comprehensive support to the elderly, promoting their well-being and happiness.
Maya CARE operates across 74 cities in India and 4 cities in the UK, touching the lives of seniors in care homes or their own residences. Our dedicated volunteers, ranging from ages 18 to 60 and coming from diverse backgrounds such as homemakers and socially conscious individuals, contribute their time and compassion to make a difference.
Over the past 15 years, Maya CARE volunteers have conducted more than 25,553 free visits, positively impacting the lives of over 2500 elderly individuals. Our network of 2000 volunteers, spanning across India and the UK, ensures that assistance is readily available. The coordination and arrangements for these visits are efficiently managed by individuals with disabilities, empowering them in their career journey within our organization.
Our volunteers engage in a variety of activities, including assisting with doctor appointments, aiding in paperwork, providing companionship, accompanying seniors to parks or temples, playing games, and helping them access mobile phones. Every effort is geared towards bringing smiles to their faces and ensuring they lead meaningful and happy lives.
We are proud of the community we have built and the positive impact.
