Idea-Execution Challenge!

The VolCon Idea-Execution Challenge is aimed at testing innovative solutions to engage volunteers from 2 high-potential, yet underpenetrated segments: 1. Homemakers 2. Senior citizens.

Participants can submit their pilot ideas, and the top idea for each target segment will be selected to receive a grant of INR 25,000 for idea execution.

  2. What is innovative in your approach to engage this target segment?
  3. How many vols can you engage with this grant, over what duration, and how much time will
each volunteer engage over this duration?
  4. What impact can be created through this?

How can you recruit and engage more homemakers?
The idea is to train homemakers in skill development and mentorship program. Then these homemakers would be the changemakers of tomorrow. They would be further into a program called Program Facilitator where they mentor and imbibe values for the children who Bookwallah works with.

Mothers and homemakers are caregiver and they would be apt for this role. The key is to give flexible and time to these individuals and they can do wonders. Currently we have 5 housewives in our organisation itself out of 200 active volunteers and they have been great volunteers due to their skills and nature

Thanks Deena. Could you structure your response based on the submission questions? Q1. A1. Q2. A2. Q3 A3. Q4 A4
