Corporate Space to Classrooms

Sharing a story on how we can increase engagement with corporates and also engage hundreds of corporate volunteers on teaching on weekends:

42 meeting rooms in 18 corporates in 4 cities converted to Classroom to teach 1400+ students.

Yes, that’s true!

If you have worked in a corporate, you know those beautiful meeting rooms with great infrastructure.

They stay idle with no purpose on weekends.

Team Everest NGO decided to put them to good use on Sundays.

'First Penguin Club (FPC) is a Team Everest initiative where we teach aptitude, soft skills, and other career skills to college students whom we sponsor for their graduation.

These students are parentless, single-parented, or financially poor and cannot afford training.

Apart from financial assistance, we help these students by providing them with the necessary training to improve their skills and help them become employable.

1246 students attended the in-person training sessions in Chennai, Madurai, Bangalore, and Coimbatore last Sunday.

These wonderful students, coming from different backgrounds, had a chance to step into the corporate world for the first time.

Their faces lit up with excitement as they experienced the corporate world for the very first time! :heart_on_fire:

100+ Volunteers conducted these training programs in various training centers, which were voluntarily given by various corporates. (3 colleges and 1 school also offered us space for this training program).

Every semester, these students will undergo training in 10 Sunday sessions.

So many corporates and startups came forward to offer their space to help these children. A big thanks to all of them.
